Syracuse Basketball

The college basketball season is fast approaching, and many fans accross the country are anxiously awaiting its arrival. The Syracuse Orange once again look like they have a good team, and will look to make the NCAA Tournament this year. They will have some trouble however, as even with a good team and record last year they were still left out.

Many experts have the Orange as the 5th best team in a very good Big East Conference which includes national powerhouses such as Louisville, Conneticut, and Villanova. Obviously they have their work cut out for them, but Coach Jim Boeheim is confident in his roster. The longtime basketball coach knows that to make the NCAA Tournament his team must at least stay as succesfull and probably improve.

The roster has some great players on it including a top 50 Wooden Award finalist in Eric Devendorf. Also two top new freshman in Johnny Flynn and Donte Green will compete for big time minutes. But with top shooter Andy Rautins out for the year with a knee injury the other players know they all must step up their games to bring glory back to the Carrier Dome.
