College football is currently in full swing. We are moving closer to BCS time, and the top teams are all aware that their current play is immensly important in what kind of postseason they will have. Only the top 10 teams have a shot at a BCS game, but others will get a chance to play in lesser bowl games.
The BCS can be flawed however, because it places all importance on the regular season to determine who gets a chance for the championship. Instead of a playoff system where many teams get a chance, only two get a chance for it in this system. It limits who can win.
The system could work better with something like what college basketball uses. A tournament allows many teams to get a chance to win a championship. A team shouldn't be penalized that heavily for maybe two losses in the beginning of the season.
